What properties distinguish brake fluids? On the one hand, they have a high flash point and boiling point; on the other hand, they must retain their fluidity at lowest temperatures. Brake fluids lubricate brake cylinders even under high pressure and do not attack rubber seals and hoses. For the best transmission of brake pulses it is also important that the fluid be practically incompressible and incapable of expansion.
