HSV-GTS

LS2 S/C

This one is going to be very, very fast!

HSV-GTS with LS2 6.0 litre and Harrop supercharger!

The project is well underway!

The spec on this car is:

6 litre LS2 with forged pistons, Monkfish Magic Cam, and Harrop 122 Supercharger with 8 rib drive pulley system

n addition, the car will be fitted with a twin Wortec manual sound changeover system. In order to achieve this the fuel tank has to go and a new custom tank is to be installed in the boot in the spare wheel well.

To finish off, there will be some subtle changes to the existing exterior of the car.

The engine build has commenced!

The engine continues to be assembled!

Looking nice and shiny!

Here is the engine finished and built, with the supercharger installed. This is now ready to be run on the engine dyno.

The engine is run on the dyno out of the car in order to shake it down and provide an accurate engine power figure.

The car has now gained a cool set of rims, along with some tasty orange AP Brakes, after all with all that power its going to need some awesome stopping power.

With the engine ready, attention has turned to the chassis and suspension.

More pedders bushes are going in, along with a good clean of the engine bay.

Here is the engine on the engine dyno. This is done in order to prove the engine and shake it down before fitting, thus if there are any issues it can be dealt with quickly.

This supercharged engine has produced a nice tidy 706bhp / 640ft torques @ 9psi!

(Dyno chart below)

Custom fuel tank, made for the job and a snug fit into the boot.

Underside cleaned off, ready for rustproofing.

Underside rustproofed with engine installed.

The original pacemaker headers were retained and new 100 cell highflow cat pipes were fabricated to mate to the modified Wortec 6.0 VXR switchable exhaust system.

Note also the polyurethane steering rack gaiters.

In order to feed this powerful engine, a new fuel system was required.

Twin pumps were installed in the original swirlpot feeding an adjustable fuel pressure regulator fuel pressure with twin feed lines to the front of the car as well as bigger injectors.

This is the modified swirl pot now fitted with twin high output pumps.

At the customers request, the rear of the car was converted to "Monaro" spec.

The original full width lights were dispensed with and black taillights were fitted too.

The bumper was modified to accept the second exhaust on the right hand side.

Almost ready to go! As is often the case, we forgot to take pics during the refitment of the engine and gearbox!

And finished and back with the owner!

Power! and lots of it. Job done!
